Turkey's peace law passed with four hundred sixty-eight votes, Serêkani refugees return home.
Framework law
Ronahî: The Framework Law for Strengthening National Unity and Social Cohesion was passed in the General Assembly of Parliament with the votes of four hundred sixty-eight members of parliament.
Ronahî: The law consists of twelve articles and had previously been presented with three hundred sixty-seven signatures; after approval by the Justice Commission it was rejected in the general session by eighty-eight votes, and six members of parliament abstained.
Kamîran: This is the first time a law of this kind has been passed by Parliament.
Ronahî: The General Chair of the Yenî Party, Ozgur Ozel, said during the session that they put the people’s right to peace before their own right to approve and will say yes to this law.
Ronahî: The Co-Chair of the DEM Party, Tuncer Bakirhan, also pointed out in the same session that this law is the first step in which Kurds have entered into law after one hundred years.
Return of Serêkani refugees
Kamîran: We now return to Serêkani, where families are once again beginning to return to their homes after seven years.
Ronahî: Hundreds of Serêkani refugees who were in the village of Tiwên in Hesekê completed preparations to return to their homes, and today the first convoy of nearly four hundred twelve families set off toward Serêkani.
Ronahî: After a series of meetings between the Serêkani Refugee Committee and the Governor of Hesekê and officials of the interim government, these families returned safely to their homes.
Ronahî: The General Commander of the SDF, Mazlûm Ebdî, condemned the attack on these families in a statement and said they are working to protect the returning refugees and to hold those who took part in the attack accountable.
Kamîran: According to the information that has reached us, the number of people who lost their lives in the attack has still not been disclosed.
Omer Ocalan’s meeting with Abdullah Ocalan
Ronahî: The DEM Party member of parliament for Riha, Omer Ocalan, met with Abdullah Ocalan on the thirty-first of October, twenty twenty-five, on the island of İmralı.
Ronahî: Omer Ocalan shared this photo for the first time on his digital media account, and in the photo he appears with members of his family.
Kamîran: This is the first official photograph released from a meeting of this kind.
Kolber killed in Bane
Ronahî: In the morning, a twenty-five-year-old kolber named Mihemed Tewhîd Penahî from Seqiz lost his life in the border area of Hengejalî near the town of Bane as a result of gunfire from Iranian regime forces.
Ronahî: The Kolbernews website reported that this gunfire was directed directly at the kolbers, and so far no information has been given about the condition of the others who were with them.
Colombia earthquake
Ronahî: An earthquake measuring seven point four struck western Colombia, and according to local officials at least sixty-nine people lost their lives.
Ronahî: Forty people in the Risaralda region, twenty-seven people in Valle del Cauca and two people in the city of Manizales died; many buildings collapsed and some residents remained under the rubble.
Kamîran: This number can still rise because rescue efforts continue.
