Ronahî: Iranian President Masoud Pezeşkiyan said in an interview that was broadcast on Thursday that his country does not want to continue a war with America, and he called on Washington to make a decision to stop.

Ronahî: Pezeşkiyan stated that Tehran is ready to reach an agreement with the American administration within the framework of international law, and he said that resolving disputes through dialogue is preferred.

Kamîran: These statements come at a time when Iran's air connections in the region are also being cut.

Ronahî: That is correct, and this is the second step. Iranian airline flights at the airports of Baghdad, Najaf, Erbil and Sulaymaniyah were stopped, and in some other countries in the region flights were cancelled or suspended.

Ronahî: The reason, according to reports, is American sanctions and restrictions targeting airlines and service companies connected to them. So on one side there is talk of reaching an agreement, on the other side economic pressure is expanding.

Ronahî: In a video that one of them shared, several men, women and children appear in a mountainous area. They say they are twenty five people, all from Kobani, and they have been there for nearly a week.

Ronahî: They say they are near the village of Haji Umran, in a mountainous area near the crossing between the south and east of Kurdistan, and that they have no water and food left with them.

Kamîran: It is a long journey – how did they reach there?

Ronahî: According to them, they went from Kobani to the Emirates, from there they came to Iran, and when they crossed into the south of Kurdistan by illegal means, they were detained by the security forces. Their request is assistance.

Ronahî: From the official side, no statement on this situation has been released so far; there are only their words by phone.

Kamîran: Yesterday we spoke about the return of the displaced people of Serêkaniyê. Today the problem has become even deeper.

Ronahî: The Committee of Displaced People of Serêkaniyê called in a written statement for the return convoys to continue, and it said that security, legal and service conditions must be provided so that this file can be concluded. The committee described the return of the residents to their homes as a legitimate right.

Ronahî: There are nearly two thousand displaced families in the camp. With the closure of the camp schools, thousands of children and students have been deprived of education, and humanitarian assistance has also decreased.

Kamîran: So here there are two delays: the return convoys that were promised but have not continued, and a school year that is not beginning.

Ronahî: Indeed. And so far no new date for convoys has been announced.

Ronahî: On Thursday night in several areas of Idlib, Aleppo and Deir ez-Zor, four security and criminal incidents occurred. Five people lost their life and seven people were wounded – among them children as well.

Kamîran: They are separate incidents, but in one night.

Ronahî: Yes. In the countryside of Idlib a woman and her husband were wounded. Information about those incidents comes from local sources, and according to them these occur amid local tensions and clashes. There is no official investigation reported on them.

Kamîran: In southern Syria there is also movement.

Ronahî: In the town of Sanamayn, in northern Daraa, the Internal Security Forces after noon removed the checkpoints that they had set up in recent days in the western neighborhood, but the points at the main entrances remained.

Ronahî: According to the town elders, this happened after an agreement between the sides of the transitional government and a committee of the residents of the neighborhood.

Ronahî: In the western countryside of Daraa as well, early in the morning, the same forces raided several houses in the village of Hayt and detained three people; according to local and security sources they are accused of drug trafficking.

Kamîran: From those three people, or from their lawyers, no response has been received so far.

Ronahî: Correct, there is only the statement from the security side.

Ronahî: Because of a problem in the electricity line between Tabqa and Al-Bawab, electricity was cut across the entire Hasakah province. The teams of the electricity company began detection and repair.

Kamîran: And the impact does not stop at lighting only.

Ronahî: No. The Water Administration of Qamishlo announced that electricity was also cut at the stations and water wells, therefore the stations of Iwej and Jaqjaq will be operated on backup generators.
