Houthis Say They Attacked Saudi Arabia and Seven People Lost Their Life in Gaza
Gaza: Seven People Lost Their Life in Israeli Attacks
Ronahî: According to local sources, today seven people lost their life in Israeli air strikes and artillery shelling across many areas of the Gaza Strip.
Ronahî: The heaviest attack was in Gaza City, near the Islamic University. There people lost their life and others were wounded. Reports differ on the numbers: one report says three people, another says four.
Ronahî: In Khan Younis, near the industrial area, an attack struck a group of civilians. Two brothers, Ela and Nabil Abu Zayed, lost their life in that attack.
Kamîran: So all these figures come from sources inside the area. Nothing appears in reports from the Israeli side.
Ronahî: Yes. The overall number is seven, but because the two reports disagree on the city of Gaza, the figure should be treated with caution.
Houthis Say They Attacked Three Targets Inside Saudi Arabia
Kamîran: Yesterday we spoke about missiles launched towards Mecca and Medina. Today there is fresh news from Saudi Arabia, and this time the Houthis themselves have said they carried out the attack.
Ronahî: The Houthi group in Yemen announced in a statement that they struck three targets with ballistic missiles: King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, an air base in Khamis Mushait and a naval base in Jazan, in the south of the country.
Ronahî: According to the Houthis, they fired dozens of missiles. They say they targeted aircraft positions and ammunition depots in Khamis Mushait.
Kamîran: Is there anything showing whether the missiles reached their targets?
Ronahî: No, nothing of that kind. What appears in the reports is only the Houthis' own statement. There is no Saudi response or independent source confirming the outcome in the reports.
Iran Says It Shot Down an American Drone
Ronahî: Another report comes from the Gulf region. The Air Defence Forces of Iran's Revolutionary Guards announced that they shot down an American Lucas-type drone over the skies of Bandar Abbas.
Ronahî: So far the United States has issued no statement on the matter.
Kamîran: That means this is like the Saudi story: only one side has spoken, the other remains silent.
Syria: Explosion Near Damascus and Israeli Military Activity in Quneitra
Ronahî: Loud explosions were heard around Damascus. Smoke rose on the road between Kisweh and Sahnaya.
Ronahî: According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, before the explosion a sound resembling a missile launch was heard near an air-defence base. At the same time Israeli reconnaissance planes and drones were flying over the area. What caused the explosions and where they came from has not yet been confirmed.
Kamîran: And in the south, in Quneitra, Israel's name has come up again.
Ronahî: Yes. There an Israeli drone flew over the province. From a new base called Red Hill West, gunfire was also directed at agricultural fields around the town of Kodnaya.
Ronahî: The incident caused concern among residents. They fear their safety is at risk and that they cannot reach their land to plant crops.
Daraa and Hama: Attack on a Checkpoint and a Knife Killing
Ronahî: In the Daraa countryside, late on Saturday night into Sunday, an armed attack took place at a checkpoint on the road between Busra al-Sham and Daraa, at the crossroads of the village of Kharaba. The clashes lasted more than half an hour.
Ronahî: According to local sources, an officer lost their life in the attack and two others were wounded.
Kamîran: There was another security incident in Hama as well.
Ronahî: Yes, in the village of Shihaya. Hussein Mohammed al-Dahir, who was forty-eight years old and had come from southern Aleppo, lost their life after three people attacked him with knives. This information comes from a security source. According to the same source, the gunmen also fired at several travellers on the road.
Safira: Six People Wounded by War Remnants Explosion
Kamîran: Yesterday we reported on a child in Raqqa who lost their life because of a mine. Today war remnants struck another family.
Ronahî: In the town of Safira, east of Aleppo, while wood was being burned inside a house, a piece of war debris that had been among the logs exploded. This information comes from the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
Ronahî: Six people from the same family were wounded. Three of them are children and one is a woman.
Ronahî: The wounded were first taken to Safira Hospital and later transferred to Aleppo University Hospital.
Russia: Ukrainian Attack in Yelets
Ronahî: And a final brief report from outside the region. The governor of Russia's Lipetsk region, Igor Artamonov, announced on Telegram that Ukraine attacked an industrial area in the city of Yelets with a missile.
Ronahî: According to Artamonov, a member of the security forces lost their life in the attack and a health worker was wounded.
Kamîran: These figures also come from the governor himself. There is no Ukrainian assessment in the reports.
