SDF delegation meets in Damascus and twenty-five-year oil agreement signed.
Damascus meeting and YPJ
Ronahî: Spokesperson for the YPJ Media Centre Ruken Jamal announced today that the YPJ will travel to Damascus in the coming days and hold talks with the interim government on the proposal to be placed as an autonomous anti-terror force inside the interior ministry.
Ronahî: Ruken Jamal said these talks are being held within the framework of the twenty-ninth of January two thousand twenty-six agreement and that YPJ negotiations with the government continue.
Kamîran: Therefore we must wait for the outcome of these negotiations.
Framework law goes to parliament tomorrow
Ronahî: AKP parliamentary group deputy chair Abdulhamit Gul announced that the draft framework law prepared within the Peace and Democratic Society Process will be presented to the parliamentary leadership by the MHP tomorrow at ten thirty.
Ronahî: The law consists of twelve articles; on behalf of the MHP, party leader Devlet Bahceli cast the first signature, and Speaker of Parliament Numan Kurtulmus also signed.
Kamîran: This law will formally enter the parliamentary agenda tomorrow.
Twenty-five-year oil agreement in Rmeilan
Ronahî: The Syrian Petroleum Company and HKN Energy signed a twenty-five-year agreement.
Ronahî: According to the agreement, they will increase oil production and modernise the Rmeilan oil fields and facilities.
Ronahî: A delegation led by Syrian Petroleum Company executive head Yusuf Qebelawi and HKN Energy executive head Mark Lowens met in the city of Rmeilan, and after the meeting the agreement was signed.
Kamîran: This agreement will have a major impact on regional oil production.
Executions in Iran in July
Ronahî: The Voice of Iranian Prisoners Organisation announced that at least seventy-seven prisoners were executed in Iran during the month of July.
Ronahî: In addition, one hundred sixty people were arrested for political reasons and nineteen people lost their lives as a result of direct gunfire from Iranian regime forces.
Kamîran: The Alliance of Political Forces of Iranian Kurdistan also called on human-rights organisations and public opinion to take practical steps beyond expressing disapproval.
Campaign for the right to hope
Ronahî: A group of activists launched a signature campaign on Change.org to implement the right to hope for Abdullah Ocalan.
Ronahî: The campaign was published in Kurmanji and Sorani dialects as well as in Persian and English, and it stated that the right to hope is a fundamental right guaranteed under international human-rights law.
Kamîran: This campaign was launched to draw attention to Ocalan’s situation.
