Ronahî: Ilham Ahmed and Mazloum Abdi went to Damascus today and met with Asaad al-Shaibani.

Ronahî: The meeting was held to discuss political developments in Syria and to complete the file of the agreement reached on the twenty-ninth of January.

Kamîran: Because this is the first time these two officials of the Autonomous Administration have faced the interim government minister directly, the meeting may signal a shift.

Ronahî: According to information from sources close to both sides, the topics discussed have not yet been disclosed.

Explosion in Palmyra

1:03

Ronahî: According to local sources, yesterday near the Palmyra district administration building in eastern Homs a woman threw a hand grenade and caused an explosion.

Ronahî: One person lost their life in the blast and two others were wounded.

Kamîran: The explosion occurred after security in the area had been increased, so it raises questions about how security was breached.

Diwandere Family

Ronahî: According to a report by the Kurdistan Human Rights Network, on the fourteenth of August two thousand twenty-six Iranian security forces raided a Kurdish home in a village of Diwandere.

Ronahî: The mother, father and their sixteen-year-old daughter were detained without a court order; the girl was released after several days, but the mother and father remain in solitary confinement.

Kamîran: In this way the family’s current situation once again shows that detentions without official documents continue.

Forcible Disappearance of Sara Rashidi

Ronahî: The Kurdistan Human Rights Network says in its report that Kurdish woman Sara Rashidi has been missing for more than seven months after being abducted by Iranian forces and no information has been received about her.

Ronahî: The Human Rights Organization HRANA announced that the health of two women political prisoners held in Iranian prisons is at risk.

Ronahî: One of them has deteriorated due to a hunger strike, the other due to illness and lack of treatment.
